GCFLearnFree.org
Goodwill Community Foundation (GCF) Learn is a wonderful website that provides over 750 FREE lesson plans and over 250 FREE videos.

Everyday Life is one of the areas on this website that is my favorite because it provides a lot of functional activities.

ATM, Bake, Counting Change, Count Pills, Deposit Money, Grocery List, Prescription, Mixing, Microwave, and many other everyday life skills.  All of the lessons are interactive and functional allowing students and clients to engage in these real life tasks.

I think there are a lot of great activities to utilize on this website and they can be incorporated into therapy sessions with children and adults.  Each activity can be adapted for each client, but I think this website is a really great resource.

Perspective

*Every year more resources are released, research studies are performed and new information is provided.  As a Speech Language Pathologist, it is important to do your own research and use your clinical judgment.

*Keep in mind, a resource or therapy tool that may work for one client may not be as effective for another client and that is "ok."
*Parents research and find information that they want to incorporate in their child's therapy session and although it may not be an approach we would typically utilize, we can still be receptive to new ideas.
*We all have different perspectives and it is important to have our own perspectives as well as respecting others viewpoints.
