I came across the website Consonantly Speaking and wanted to share this wonderful resource with all of my blog readers. "It is called "Consonantly Speaking" because as speech-language pathologists we are constantly speaking, whether in therapy or at home, and we are teaching about/using consonants." I always enjoy reading how individuals got started in the field of Speech Language Pathology, so be sure to view the About page on this website. After reading the About page it was evident just how passionate the writer behind this blog is about the field of Speech Language Pathology. Below are a few of the links and resources within Consonantly Speaking that I think are great tools to add to your resource box: The Home page provides all of the latest posts and information that can be easily viewed Therapy Ideas: Always one of my favorites, this is a great page that covers different innovative ideas. Visuals are provided of the therapy ideas along with how to incorporate each idea into the therapy session Resources: Wow, this list is great, it is categorized by everything Speech Language Pathology Related and it is still growing. Worksheets and Speech Apps are two other sections to view that have more activities and speech related apps. Like Consonantly Speaking on Facebook, Add on Pinterest, Follow on Twitter and add the website to your favorites to get the latest updates! Special Thanks to Consonantly Speaking for providing a wonderful website!

Everyday Life is one of the areas on this website that is my favorite because it provides a lot of functional activities. ATM, Bake, Counting Change, Count Pills, Deposit Money, Grocery List, Prescription, Mixing, Microwave, and many other everyday life skills. All of the lessons are interactive and functional allowing students and clients to engage in these real life tasks. I think there are a lot of great activities to utilize on this website and they can be incorporated into therapy sessions with children and adults. Each activity can be adapted for each client, but I think this website is a really great resource.
