I received an email last week and it was from a tutor who stated her juniors in high school use Futureslps.com as a resource. It really meant a lot to receive the email and also they shared a wonderful resource for College Prep, SAT and ACT Test Preparation Tips and Resources (http://www.studentscholarshipsearch.com/tips/college-test-prep.php) as a thank you to Futureslps.com. I wanted to say special thanks to Danielle for providing the resource and sharing. It is awesome that as a junior in high school that you are being proactive and taking the initiative to find resources that will be beneficial for your future. To Sarah, I commend you for all that you do, I am sure all of your students appreciate you as a mentor, tutor and teacher. To all of my followers, I will continue to thank you all for all of your support and dedication. There are not enough ways to say thank you for my sincere appreciation to each of you. Your support means the world to me and it does not go unnoticed!

The Vision Board is a great visual for anyone when setting goals. It is a great way to outline the goals that you are working towards in an organized manner and with pictures to support your goals. Below are some pictures of the vision board that I created with one of my older clients. This really helped for organizing, planning, problem solving and other skills. We created the outline and the categories (i.e. School and Career, Finances) and then it was filled up with goals and pictures. In the middle is a ladder with road signs, at the bottom rung of the ladder I have "Wrong Way," next is "Caution", in the middle is "No U-Turn." At the top of the ladder it says "Success Next Exit" and " "Welcome to Success." As the client gets closer to goal, the popsicle tick with his/her picture can be moved up the ladder towards success. There are many different ways that you can create your vision board. We used a big piece of poster board and had 4 different categories in each corner. If you create a vision board, I would love to see pictures and how you organized yours. Let me know how it turns out! Thank you David for sharing this resource https://www.designwizard.com/blog/how-to-create-an-inspiring-online-vision-board/ On June 12, 2005, Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple and Pixar Animation Studios was the commencement speaker at Stanford University's graduation (View Commencement Speech Here:
http://www.ted.com/talks/steve_jobs_how_to_live_before_you_die.html) One of the memorable quotes that stands out after listening to this speech is, "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life."~Steve Jobs~ This quote is so true, we really do have to trust in ourselves, to know that whatever decision that we make whether career choices, personal, or any any area of our life, will be beneficial for our future. We are going to make mistakes ("learning experiences") along the way, there are going to be challenges ("Surpassing the Pebbles") along the way, and it is normal to change our minds, we are all human beings. The important part is to make choices that we feel comfortable in and not choices that someone else is making for us.Invest the time to find out what makes you happy, write down what you enjoy, and "connect the dots" in your life. Thank you Steve Jobs for the mark that you made in this world and your contributions! “I didn’t see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.” ~Steve Jobs~
I promise myself...
