Feeling overwhelmed is normal and you are not the only one. Often times it helps when you are going through different roadblocks in life to know you are not alone. One of the many challenges in undergrad and grad school that I experienced was to maintain a certain balance so that I would not feel overwhelmed. Many times it felt like the work was coming in faster and faster and I became overwhelmed. I would get discouraged at times and think, "Am I the only one feeling overwhelmed" and I would even doubt myself and say, "Maybe this is not the major for me." These are common feelings and sayings that would come up a lot of times when I began college and graduate school. The important tip that I had to remember sometimes when I was feeling overwhelmed was to step back, put together a plan of how I planned to attack the assignments or whatever task that needed to be completed and then I would attack each item accordingly. It helps for me to write everything down, write on a calendar and set deadlines for myself and stick to the deadlines. Continue to push forward each day and just know that the end result is worth it and always remember, "At the center of all the chaos there is a star and that star is you"
